Most - if not all - of the soundtrack from Brutal Legend.
I recently discovered that the soundtrack of Milkmaid of the Milky Way, composed by the developer himself, is pretty memorable and nice to listen to.

Long time no see, now I have a treat for you. The theme, I want you to look at these images, its from the climax of the Silmarillion, the War of Wrath, what you are seeing is Earendil the Half Elf on a litiral flying ship blessed by the gods and iwth the help of Giant Eagles are battling Ancalagon the Black and his flying Dragons.

A couple later Zelda games (that i haven't played) have some nice epic music.

A Link Between Worlds - Lorule Castle

Breath of the Wild - Hyrule Castle (this game doesn't have much epic music, but this one track makes up for it)

Of course, while not a Zelda game, I could mention Morrowind's title screen music.

Morrowind's music is pretty much all great. Jeremy Soule did an EXCELLENT job with that soundtrack.
I don't think that's someone here who didn't listen to at least one song from this great, and I may add one of the best soundtracks of this year (it is my soundtrack of the year), but for the chance that there are people who did just that, here's almost six hours of greatness:

Thank you and yes long time :) (Also apologies for the late reply by the way - past few days were hellish) I haven't read The Silmarillion yet but I have read a bit about some of the events in it. And I can see a music piece like that made to fit such an climactic ending. I suppose its only a matter of time before we see a big screen adaption of the book, and I only hope Howard Shore is still available by then. His work has come to define Tolkien's world for me :)

By the way if you like to imagine such epic conflicts against the backdrop of music from other sources, then I'd like to point you to some of Paul Houseman's music. I don't like all of his stuff, but several pieces I find amazing. Be sure to check out 'Day of Days' and 'Imperator' on that list. Both kind of fit in the 40k universe for me. Day of Days especially I can see against a tour of the interior of a Forge World factory where Baneblades or Landraiders are assembled by the Adeptus Mechanicus.
The list doesn't have all of his work unfortunately. I see there 'An event of unspeakable peril II', the 2nd version presumably, but the original which is far better isn't in the list.
Stones from the Ultima games

here's a great piano cover:
And an equally great guitar cover:

And another awesome cover of another song from another game by the same guy: (close your eyes before clicking the link. You'll recognize the song and it will take you right back to the game it's from)

Wonderfully epic thank you :) I've added it to my playlist and I have no idea why it wasn't there already. The only one from the series in there up now is this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3pU67zxPOM

Hans Zimmer of course is a genius responsible for some of the best film music out there. I trust you are familiar with the gladiator soundrack, eg. Barbarian Horde. I studied for most of my final year high school exams listening to the Gladiator soundtrack on repeat.

Oh yes it did instantly, but the problem is though that it makes me want to go back to the game it's from..
Definitely one of the most perfect pieces of game music out there. It's often struck me how absolutely perfect it fits into and helps define the act I universe.
The Sunspire from Unreal has always been the most epic game music for me..

Well Breath of the Wild did it, they managed top so many other epic Zelda musics with this one piece of music, and I thought nothing could top the likes of Skyward Sword and or the final Ganondorf battle in Wind Waker, or anything.

Sounds like one of those songs that would be great at the end of a mini zelda playlist as it seems to build on the earlier music. Not 100% sure though since I haven't really played the series yet, but I'm still massively looking forward to it :)
It's something I also like about the Pirate of the Caribbean soundtracks. The music of each sequel builds on that of the previous one.

I've added a few things to my 'epic songs from films' playlist, most notably the music of the first 10 star trek films (mostly the end credits music), several of which are extraordinary:
Star Trek 1
Star Trek 2 Wrath of Khan
Star Trek 3 Search for Spock
Star Trek 4 The Voyage Home
Star Trek 5 Final Frontier
Star Trek 6 Undiscovered Country
Star Trek 7 Generations
Star Trek 8 First Contact
Star Trek 9 Insurrection
Star Trek 10 Nemesis
Down in the Valley from Stir Crazy -- sung by Erland van Lidth
