Doesn't mean much. Doom 2016 image was used for the recent FPS sale for example. They just use the image that looks the coolest to them.

I wanted to start to complain big time about the absence of Tomb Raider Anniversary
and the doubtful approach of Square Enix, and that I am not interested in Life is Strange Game
as I am The Camera... but... you helped me to forget about them with the following title...
and I can play Tomb Raider Anniversary Free from DRM another way... just a quick look at the watch ; )

Kept looking at the banner and then to the sale list... thought maybe I was missing something!

For me it's not about the quantity of the sales, but more about the quality of them:

- Overall, the sales have been worse this year. Some of the games today on sale have a 50% to 60% off. On past sales I got these games for 75% to 80%.

- Publisher week sales without new games. Again, last year Square Enix had also a weekly sale, but we got the newer Deus Ex games + Dungeon Siege. I feel this year this has been worse overall.

Maybe some day we get missing expansion packs for Tomb Raider 1-3 and Dungeon Siege 1-2...

there's still some cheap Squeenix things I have to get one day, but I don't want to backlog now, so I don't complain too much. On the other hand, Murdered: Soul Suspect (2014) has become aged enough for a GOG customers sop?

They had a bundle or newsletter sale a while back that allowed you to grab it all for $23.xx USD.

Also, for some reason they didnt add XCOM 2: War of the Chosen - Tactical Legacy Pack to this sale.
