Korotan: Another thing. As earlier in times when games used outside gadgets as a method and it whas considered DRM, should then not Thimbleweed Park be on the list too, as it requires you for ending the game to watch the kickstarter video?
Nothing stops you to download the kickstarter video and put it there where you have your Thimbleweed Park files.

You can use this link:

to download it.

You can also just brute-force the puzzle in the game.

Thank you for this reply. I don't consider this DRM then. Watching youtube videos doesn't require any registration or other proof of ownership and there is the option of downloading the video. But the video should be included in the download files by GOG, so that the game is complete with everything, when played offline.
Yeah, this is just a really bad easter egg and not DRM.

Unintentional Galaxy-required.

Lifthrasil: Saintsrow - The Third Remastered - character designs are only stored online. As are keybindings and some other settings. Update June 2022: GOG stated a year ago that they would investigate the broken offline installer. But it wasn't fixed
Minor correction. The options are not stored online. But they are not stored when not using Galaxy.
Workaround: Use galaxy to set up your game, then play offline using the options you saved earlier.

I do think that char designs are also stored locally when using Galaxy, but I have to test that yet. For that I'll have to cut my internet connection :)

Edit: Also the problem is not the offline installer. The problems are just the same when you install the game through galaxy.

Oh how disappointing:

Two Point Hospital has a bunch of stuff that appears to unlock only when you do online play. I'm looking into if the things it does are unlockable in other methods, but it doesn't appear to be.

Two Point Hospital = major disappointment

It's off the wishlist now.

I've confirmed how Two Point Hospital works, and it's very much like Absolver: Single-player content gated through online connectivity to unlock. Supposedly there's a cheat, if you download a hacked DLL file, to unlock it locally. But that shouldn't be required. (It's not like Monster Train's that's "just edit a text file to unlock the online-gated content".)

I have submitted a ticket to GOG.

Do you know anything about the exclusive items unlockable through Amazon Prime? Is there a way to unlock them in the GOG version?

I don't. I haven't looked into that. From what it looks like, though, it probably uses the same "tied to account" stuff like the Gold Pass. The subreddit for the game has a few questions about it that people have problems getting them to work, even on Steam. It looks like they might be Amazon-exclusive?

This Two Point Hospital game sounds truly terrible. It gets Zero points from me. Why do they think we want to buy DRMed (or online-required...whatever...) products?

There *IS* a lot of local, DRM-free content. It just so happens that there's also a lot of (optional, but not even cosmetic in this case (not that that makes a difference)] additional online-gated content.

A comparison for other games:
* Imagine if FTL only unlocked certain weapons for you after you'd played online ranked time trials for X amount of time.
* Or imagine if a Civ game didn't let you build certain wonders of the world until a certain number of players had completed a match after you'd first started playing and said "go online to share stats".

Two-Point Hospital *is* a complete game. But it has some features stripped away hidden behind online requirements, DRM-style. If they were simply not present at all (it'd be like "GOG didn't get a certain DLC"), it would be better IMO. But that they're present, but require tons of hurdles to get to, that's a problem.

Of course, best, would be for them just to change the GOG release to activate them pre-emptively, or change the "online component" to the research system the game already has. (Instead of them being in a separate fake-multiplayer second research system that requires multiple players to do weird challenges for points to unlock it for everyone.)

The current prime giveaway (Cat Person Bundle) seems to contain single items from various DLC packs, all of which are appear to be available on GOG:
- Cat Person
- Gum Dispenser
- Hat Stand

I haven't tested it myself, but it looks like it's more about missing out on free partial DLCs than exclusive content.

Exclusive content is not part of this topic. Game mode mentioned above is not available in Steam version too. So its not related to online.
Game have major issues than exclusive items (cannot be completed without Galaxy at some point).

Most of Amazon Items did present in DLCs. There is few exclusives (not on Steam too). All DLC are present in the game cause it is Unity3D, but locked.
This few items listed better (more clear) on another FandomWikia-article.
