Thanks mate. I've dropped my pledge to $1 anyway (64 hours to go)

Lowest tier is $25 and they want $900000. And.It looks like their first game. Good luck to them.

shane-o: Curious if anyone knows if there is a limit to when you can withdraw a pledge on Kickstarter? I seem to remember seeing somewhere the last 24 hours or so you can reduce but not withdraw your pledge... confirmation anyone?
You can change it, or you can withdraw it (manage pledge - cancel pledge). In the latter case, it won't be seen in your backer profile. I think you can also cancel an US authorization through https://payments.amazon.com regardless of kickstarter restrictions.

---
Now here's something I want to ask. Recently, an asshole backer has been scamming project creators out of $$ by pledging a fuckton (thousands of dollars!) and then initiating chargebacks.
How in blazes do you find a bank which is so helpful when processing chargebacks? Because I'm pretty sure that if I tried to protest an actual false charge or an ebay undeliverer, I'd be denied and hit with a fine.

Australia is an odd choice for the next kickstarter...

Anything with about Kiwi;'s and SHeep? ;)
Is anyone backing Deathfire?

I should be all over this one, but I don't have a very good feeling about it. There doesn't seem to be a really clear guiding direction behind the project, especially given the weird stretch goals and formerly real-time combat. I have trouble grasping the actual scope and the driving gameplay. Then there was this comment:

I looked at Legends of Grimrock and it made me realise that I had never considered what our classic games could look like if you gave them a modern day presentation. I always thought they were simply outdated as a whole, without realizing that at the core there is still an absolutely valid game core that was every bit as engaging now as it was 25 years ago.
...which does not exactly fill me with confidence.

Plus, after Hero U-turn, I hesitate to back something so early in development again, especially when the foundation already seems wobbly.

I would love to be convinced, but I just haven't been yet.

Mentalepsy: Plus, after Hero U-turn
I wouldn't call it a U-turn, they just ran out of money (as expected, because they barely funded) and are going slow. Now there was a reference to more delicious drama in the recent update, and I'm reading up on it.
Star Citizen is easily #1 on the crowd funding list.

It shattered all previous records by millions and is still going (at 27 million now I think).

It's being created by Chris Roberts who is the world acclaimed creator of Wing Commander.
