I would really like to see GOG offer the older Star Trek games of the early/mid 90's that were Interplay titles. At this time they are almost impossible to find and play.

Thanks

I read somewhere in this forum before that the problems are likely about getting the licenses with Paramount Pictures or something...

Indeed, while naturally we don't know for sure, that the license is owned by Paramount while the games are owned by publishers (i.e. multiple rights holders for each title) does seem to be the most reasonable reason why Star Trek games are not here. Pity, I too would like to see them here.

@OP you can go to the wishlist and add/vote for Star Trek games. GOG unfortunately is not in sole control of their appearance here, but it *might* help them decide to focus on getting those games from Paramount/the various publishers and to convince those rights holders to sell here. You never know.

Cool! I think it would be a wise move where Steam has some Star Wars titles. It would offer a good counter weight for GOG.
Indeed, it is time for GOG to boldly go and prepare for ramming speed.

Most Star Wars titles would actually be much easier to obtain, from a licensing standpoint. LucasArts is in most cases, the sole owner of the rights to the games. Star Trek is spread across multiple publishers and developers, some long defunct, as well as the prime rights holder, Paramount/CBS. That makes things much more difficult. Then again, we might be more likely to get Star Trek, given LucasArts apparent stance on DRM.
If there's going to be any push for the older titles it'll be when that Star Trek Mass Effect looking clone thing comes out.
Another thing that would help is going to the Star Trek fan boards. And tell that the possibility that GoG would be considering carrying those games is a good possibility. Not too long after that happens and you would see people wanting to know when.
This would be great, specifically Away Team and Elite Force 1 & 2. Perhaps i'm weird but those were two of my favorite Star Trek games :D

I know those aren't Interplay games, but still. More Star Trek can't be a bad thing.

Hm...looks like I need to do some research. I don't remember if it was an Interplay title, but it was top-down, needed to keep an eye on your dilithium, starbases, etc. You commanded the Enterprise......Ran on Windows 3.x, though I don't remember if it was a DOS game, or a Win 3.x game.....:(
The Interplay games were point-n-click adventures, and probably the most faithful licensed games that I have ever played. They really felt like new episodes of TOS, but had a lot of dialogue choices and the gameplay was solid all-around. I really wish that Telltales could pick them up, do a remake, and then make more Star Trek adventure games.
Interplay did 25th Anniversary, Judgement Rites, Starfleet Academy, Starfleet Command 1,2 and Orion Pirates, Klingon Academy. Activision did all the FPS titles EF 1+2, SFC 3. Also Activision did Dom Wars, and Armada 1+2. Not sure on who did DS9:The Fallen. Microprose did Klingon Honor Guard.

Screw it. Messaged Paramount's Failbook team to pass gog.com website to their licensing department....

*runs from TET*!
It would be pretty cool if SFC3 came up here and someone setup a multiverse server for it (basically a persistant world as players form fleets and expand their empires and remove others) I got SFC3 long after it was popular so i completely missed that.
