Drelmanes: Yes, the fixpack worked. BGT-WeiDU is really necessary? If it is, how I know if I have installed it?
avatar
Coelocanth: You'll have a folder in your main BG2 folder named BGT. There will also be a WeiDU text document in your BG2 folder.
I have this folder and text document, so I suppose it was installed, even if it was so fast that I barely saw the window.

It should have generated a file named SETUP-BGT.DEBUG in the BG2 directory. Mind sharing that with me?

Sure, why not. I'll send a e-mail to you.

EDIT: Sent.

Why you wanted the file?

It's just a log of what happened when you tried installing it. I'll take a look and get back to you in a bit.

Okay, thanks.
I have a question, where I can find Setup-BGTMusic.exe? I tried to find it, but it's not in BG II directory.

That's odd. It's in mine. Maybe you only got a partial install (which might explain why it went so fast).

Should I try to re-install BGT-WeiDU, then? Is there a problem if I run the setup again?

I honestly don't know what went wrong. The log showed nothing of interest (by which I mean just 10 lines of unimportant information). It's obviously not fully installed, since it's supposed to copy the entire BG1 installation into your BG2 installation, so it should take at least a minute or two. So... try it again and see if it behaves differently this time.

Not sure. I'd wait until GoJays has a look at your log file.

*edit* Hmmm, the force is strong with that one. Fast, he is.

I tried, and the same thing happened, a window opens, and a few seconds later, it closes. What should I do? This doesn't make much sense...
What OS are you on, drelmanes? If Vista or Win7 are you running BGT setup as admin?

Windows 7. The file installation worked in admin mode. Thx.

But there's a problem, I think I overwrited the files modified by the mods/patches. I'll have to install them again? This sucks, because it took a lot of time to select what I wanted in BG II Tweak Pack... >: (

Okay, I'm glad it worked! I'll update the guide accordingly.

I do believe you need to reinstall the tweak pack unfortunately.

I'll have to reinstall everything? Even the fixpack?

No, just the tweaks; the fixpack is supposed to be installed prior to BGT, while it's preferable to install the tweak pack afterward.
