Thank you!
Yeah, we're getting crushed under new traffic since the BGEE release, so we're moving to a better server to deal with it. Unfortunately, it means downtime for now.
This is going to be a stupid question, but...

after following the steps for the BGT installation, what executable do I actually run to play the game?

bgmain.exe in the BG2 directory.

Am I stuck with the single resolution I choose when installing the Widescreen Mod?

Edit: Thanks! That answers it.

ocguitar: Is it possible to change after installing the widescreen mod? How do I change it?
Yes, just run the widescreen setup again. (And hopefully you have installed it as the last mod, to avoid lengthy re-installs of every other mod).

Though really the game was not designed for 1080p, it just makes everything too tiny. I would go with 1366x768 at most.

I've installed BGT with no problems. Thanks for the guide! I'll stick with 1280x960 in Windowed for now.
Hi everyone.
I'm trying to install the fixpack (after full install of both games, expansions, and patch), and it says something like "Not for installation overtop of the Throne of Bhaal expansion. Aborting installation".
Anyone encountered that?
It's happening on my laptop, on PC everything installed fine.
Thanks!

Are you talking about the disc version or the GOG version?
Because the GOG version doesn't need a patch, & applying one will break the game.
What patch are you talking about exactly?

If I was playing a first time through, I would go for Easy TuTu over BGT.
It will enable you to keep BG1 much closer to the original, and make modding much simpler as you only need to mod for the BG1 part.
I installed the BG2fixpack to BG2 before installing Easy TuTu & then go with the following options to keep the game closer to the original.

Just a warning, this one screwed up a couple of the BG2 NPCs for me - I had to edit my saves to correct their experience levels and weapon proficiencies. It is supposed to let you assign points yourself, but did not give enough to get them back to where they would normally be. (One character in particular should have had 5 point Axe Grandmaster, but only gave 1 point to spend. Other characters joined with less experience levels than they should be despite my PC being several levels higher - which I think was intentional, but was inconsistent for different NPCs and just ended up annoying me)
