After the convocation, the world was shattered and split into islands. The stones of gods saved it from total destruction. Rohen, once a powerful mage of the circle, dedicated his life to linking these islands together with portals. He used the power of the archfire, a dangerous arcane force discovered by the circle in the ruins of the Shapers. The force which had driven both the circle and the world to the edge of destruction should have helped him to create a new world. Through the portals, food and water was delivered into the devastated and barren realms, new empires were forged and a rejuvenated Eo began to rise. Rohen even sacrificed his life for that cause.
The Eo civilization is falling apart and with it, the magical portals that connect the islands. The Shaikans try to stop this but in doing so they only make things worse by waking up the Creator - an ancient evil god. The world is on the edge of destruction and you are the only one who can save it. To do so, you must gather all what remains of once great civilizations and lead your armies against the coming darkness.

I write this to balance the only current review:
The price for this game is the same as other online vendors, and I for one buy games on GOG for the bonus materials and lack of DRM. Steam's and others' system DRM sometimes get in the way of mods. Whenever two purchase options are the same price or near, I choose the DRM-free option.

Dragon Storm is a must-have for all Spellforce fans.
The gameplay mechanics remain unchanged, which is IMO good, because there is nothing wrong with it. The story is interesting and original, and the game takes a fairly long time to complete.
It is much more than an expansion and is definitely worth the few bucks it costs.

stop treating it like it is, this game is a stand alone release so bitching about it not being included with the first game is like bitching about Fallout 2 not being sold together with Fallout 1.
you don't like the price, then don't buy it: simple as that.
now can we please get some reviews based on the actual game and have these bullshit ones removed? (including this one.)
