The Way is a 2D puzzle platformer game inspired by classic titles like Another World, Heart of Darkness and Flashback.

It tells a story about a member of space explorers team, who lost his beloved one and cannot accept her death. Finding ancient writings on eternal existence during one of his last expeditions makes him come back there in search of the meaning of life itself.

He will soon know that the planet has its own secrets and problems that he will need to face in order to get what he is looking for.

The Way isn't perfect. The wonky checkpoint system and the underlying feeling that the design was built on artificial padding makes the title feel a bit disingenuous. However, most of the puzzles can be fun because of the powers at your disposal, and the story is gripping enough that you'll want to see things through until the end, even if the game starts to grate. It may not completely capture all of the traits of earlier side-scrolling puzzle platformers, but it's worthy of a look from genre fans.

Dumb

Made it to level 2 ... died 1 million times from falling less distance than a 3 year old could fall. Dumb. Not as good as Another World, not as good as Flashback. I can personally take bigger falls the failed protagonist in this game can. So could a 3 year old. Silly, over thought, incongruent gameplay. Keep the same physics from level one to finish or just look like another level to level amateur indie game play foolish producer. 2/5. Indie as F**k.

Glitched game and broken

I couldn't move past the glitched gun in the beginning of the game, as it doesn't even shoot and i am stuck doing nothing but dying. Garbage game, don't spend money on it.
