The System Shock remake is the best way to play the PC classic, making it an enjoyable first-person experience for the modern age. However, it still clings to some somewhat outdated mechanics that will frustrate newcomers.

A loving recreation.
Finally, a remake where the new devs actually understand and remember what made the original version great.

System Shock remaster is good
It's exactly what I was expecting- it's really polished and well strung together. It has brought forth a really old but solid game to a new age which is really neat. Do I recommend it? Depends on what you want. It's very similar to system shock 2, Bioshock(s), and Prey... so if you liked those, you'll like this.

AWESOME
System Shock Remake is a masterclass in how to do a remake right! From the stunning graphics and perfect art style to the immersive atmosphere, this game nails it on every level. The voice acting is top-notch, bringing the characters and the world to life in the best way possible. I appreciated the updated ending (v1.2). Honestly, I would’ve loved to get my hands on the physical collector’s edition if I had the chance. Truly a fantastic reimagining!

Reminds me that I played it all night
Well, shame in me, I bought it in Steam. But anyway, the Remake reminded me of the time, I played the original all night long. It feels the same. Excellent Work. 🙂
