System Shock

The art style looks disjointed and ugly, straight away. Some things are HD and other things have this 'retro' voxel look to them. It's really unappealing. The game itself is slow and boring to start out. I was hoping they'd make the gameplay better than the original, but it's not much better; which is tremendously sad. If there should have been one purpose to this remake, it should have been that aspect. I guess I'll have to stick to engine remakes/re-implementations here on out if this is the kind of product that gets released after years and years of waiting for proper improvements to an antiquated game.

This game has no wide screen support. If you set the graphics to 1980x1080 and windowed the game pays no attension, even if you restart the game and ensure all settings are correct. Can't find the .ini file so can't manually set it. And no, it's not my PC PC: Rez: 5905x1080 Nvidia 3090 32 gig ram Game installed on NvMe Playing Classic Shell Shock instead, that works fine.

I don't see why I would give the so named Dev's so much money for this game. This is only a Remake of a story that was developed long ago and only for the sake to play on a better graphic and new hardware, the story stays the same. So not worth it.

The devs promised lots of thing duringthe kickstarter that didn't make it in the final game. I knew this would happen, because promises are binding only on those who believe in them. But still, 1 star.

Different to what the developers promised during crowdfunding campaign, which was a crowdfunding goal and advertized in PR materials, there is no gender choice option available. Because they now exclude people who they lied to during crowdfunding the game is unplayable to me
