Nice, short, original and overpriced

Pros: - Interesting mechanics with time. - Game length is just good. Longer would have been too much. (Game mechanics are not that good, that you would like to spend countless hours in the game). - Art is simplistic but really nice. Cons - Feels more like technological demo than full game. - Overpriced for such a short indie game ( get it when on discount ). There is a lot of games on GOG in similar price range with far better price / content ratio.

Overpriced Gimmick

In the beginning, SUPERHOT is very intriguing, the unique slow motion feature is fun and stylish. But even in the first few levels, something gets in the way of that style: After finishing a level, a replay is shown... While alternatingly flashing the words "SUPER" and "HOT" on the entire screen, getting in the way of the otherwise stylish view. But if nothing else, the "story" kept me going, because there are hints at something deeper. Later though, it's revealed, that there's really nothing there. Nothing really changes throughout the game. There is one ability being introduced later on, but otherwise everything's the same, and then it just ends. But the worst of all is, in the later levels, you keep being surrounded by enemies, and as turning around makes the enemies move, winning these levels really comes down to luck, that you're not shot in the back. At most, this game is worth a quarter of the actual asking price. I'm glad I bought it as a special offer, and I'm still a bit disappointed I got it at all. I don't think I'll ever buy the DLC I bought alongside it.

Tedious

Superhot is a solid game; The mechanic is really fun and its incredibly stylish. That said, it became incredibly tedious as the levels went on. Things would be going so well and I would almost finish a level and then you get hit by something from behind with no way to dodge it. It becomes a slog to fight through the whole level again and again. At times, it feels less like skill and more like luck got me through the levels. Its not a bad game, and I did largely have fun with it, but the frustration I felt at certain times... I'd say MAYBE get it on a discount. I was lucky enough to get it for free and while I enjoyed my time for the most part and I don't think I would ever want to play it a second time.

A brand new favorite for me

I'm not going to lie, this game is overpriced but to say it isn't fun is a lie. This is of the most fun games I've played in years, the time dilation mechanic makes for some truly nice moments of pure badass during the levels. The challenge mode is one of the most fun parts of the game, rebalancing the entire game and creating a completely new experience with each new mode (my favorites were katana only and throwing challenge) and endless mode is seriously fun. One tip: You can slow down time while jumping by holding spacebar

Actually a great game

When I first heard of this game I thought, "Eh, that sounds cool" But when I played it... oh boy. I thought it was a lot of fun. Sure, it's really short, but there is always endless mode. Not to mention the other little mini games you can play. Played endless mode for about an hour straight weaving my way through bullets, trying not to die. It had me on the edge of my seat as I cut down a lot of enemies with the sword. Trying to pull off awesome moves, such as throwing a gun or any weapon at another body then hotswaping to said other body to catch the weapon mid air is really satisfying. VR version is also very fun I definitely recommend it.
