This game has been done before, over and over and over again. We have all seen the versions around throughout the years. THIS time there is a bit of a mix... With other stuff we have seen time and time again... Good Mixture. Metroid map style, Character level up style on " gold ". Map moves around upon death. " THEIR IS ALWAYS A MINI_MAP AND FULL MAP ON BUTTON PRESS "
4 Local Player Support... Stay together, Talk... You have this... Great System Requirements!
The game is visually great. But the gameplay is just running around beating up tons of enemies. There is hardly any story. Just an 'eery' voice commenting on where to go next. So there is no motivation to keep beating up the endless streams of the ever same enemies and the game becomes repetetive quickly.
So, I bought this game the other day, and to be fair I haven't beaten it. So this is an early in-game review. But, all I can say once I picked it up I lost track of time and I haven't done that in quite a while. Why? Allow me to elaborate:
First, the plot, so far, is pretty simple. I don't know anything about my character's past other than she was traveling in the desert before getting swallowed into a portal.
Second, the artwork is gorgeous. It's all hand drawn and vert pleasing to look at.
Third, the controls are smooth and comfortable. For my computer there was no lag or anything, and everything is seamlessly executed.
Fourth, the fighting is intense, and at times overwhelming, but the point is for your character to die and then to upgrade your character at the temple where she is revived. Eventually your character will be strong enough to face whatever trial killed you. To some that may be tedious, but given the amount of skill and upgrades I unlocked so far, and how many I still have to go, it seems like it is pretty well balanced.
Finally, music and atmosphere are great as well. I enjoy the music's increase in intensity as enemies start to horde around you. I like the sound effects as your character is falling, with the wind whipping around and whatnot.
It's a fun game so far. I'm looking forward to sinking more time into this one.
For me this game still works very well in 2019!
Linux Mint 19.2
CPU intel i5
GPU Nvidia 1Go (Pilot Free: Mesa)
gamepad: Logitech F710 and F310
Resolution 1920 x 1200
Windows or Linux: it is clearly specified that a minimum dedicated Graphics Card of 256MB is required!
For the game, A reactive character for very fluid and animated action scenes, it takes a little perseverance to master it well.
An interesting game experience, hand drawn, a rather difficult game in my opinion.
I really liked it!
Thunder Lotus Games, does a really good job, it is always committed to offering an original experience.
Sundered will remain in the memories, it is a great game that will become a classic (according to me).
Maybe you’ll find him flaws, or he’ll be one of the best games you’ve ever played?
Owned Sundered in his library is a good thing, if we’re a real Gamer.
