It's basically a board game with all dice rolls. If you got this like me expecting a grand strategy game of esiponage and counterplay... it's not that. It's basically a mobile-game quality virtual boardgame, and I don't think you can at least play it with other people though MP isn't my thing so I didn't look for it. Tries to be deep and sell you on this story about how new tech could change the face of the world, but you'll never see it.
Give this one a pass, even at less than five bucks when I purchased it 80% off, it feels like I overpaid. I probably would have played this for free on my phone. It's just not worth it. It's all random dice roles, very little actual choice, and the game will even tell you're losing as little as one turn after the game starts because it's all just random faff.
Simple and beautiful design, challenging but nevertheless fun gameplay, which requires balanced set of your agents party from the beginning and careful management through all the game. You must think about every turn and use the maximum of your resources in the best way possible to defeat this game. I got the best ending only in the third walkthrough, so it requires some luck too.
This game is like Fermi Paradox, but much more developed and interesting.
Fun game, but needs a little polishing. Could benefit from a Save Game feature, as game hangs up or crashes on occasion. Balance is off as well, even on Easy, could stand some tweaks.
Features I would like to see:
At least unlockable ability to add one or two more field agents
A slightly longer Doomsday Clock
Ability to add at least one or two more scientists to research
Ability to attempt assassination of scientists and diplomats, even with repercussions.
Otherwise, absolutely a great game, played three missions and getting ready to play a fourth!
