The Metro Exodus PC Enhanced Edition is out now! The radical update which harnesses the power of Ray Tracing capable GPUs to deliver an incredible visual upgrade.
The Metro Exodus PC Enhanced Edition is free for all existing owners of Metro Exodus on PC, but the upgrade is so extensive, it can not be delivered as a patch - instead, it is available as a separate entitlement. Upgrades include DLSS 2.0 Inclusion, Ray Traced Emissive Lighting used throughout, FOV slider, increased framerates and display resolutions. A Ray Tracing capable GPU is the minimum spec for this beast, and you can upgrade right now for free if you own Metro Exodus.
Please check here how to access Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition on GOG.
let's see where the stars are falling from the board
1 absolutly forgettable characters
2 bad game optimization
3 bad game mechanics
4 a game story, Wolfenstein is better than this
5 the positive reviews must be from 4A Games itself
Game is good. I like the atmosphere, story, grahics and the best thing is I can run it on my 6 year old PC.
However, in spite all of that, intro got the better of me. Don't get me wrong, intro is looking good, but when you see it for who knows how many times, it somewhat loses its charm. As far as my machine was concerned, it CANNOT be skipped. I have looked for solutions online:
- devs themsleves say theres a button at the begining with which you can skip it. After starting the game 8 times (due to technical issues with GOG Galaxy and even without issues), not once I saw this prompt. Mashing every single key on the keyboard doesn't help.
- renaming the intro animation name in file explorer (as one of the solutions) only makes my game stutter and barely playable
- alt + Tab is useless
- alt+F4 CANNOT interrupt it
- f-ing task manager won't show up during the intro
Only thing that can interrupt this thing is hard reset or hard reboot. I must congratulate whoever designed that intro to go to security business and patent, because that thing is interruptible.
Wish I could say more about the game, but wasting time watching intro isn't my idea of fun. Why is it become so difficult lately just to quickly jump in the game and play it?
Seriously, I can't play for more than about 5 minutes before this crashes, and it crashes so badly that I can't get to Task Manager or the desktop and have to reboot my computer over and over again. I've given it about half an hour and like 5 reboots and dropped all the video settings (Geez, 11th gen i7, 16G RAM and RTX 2070; I should be solid at ultra settings) and still crash after crash after crash. Just not worth it.
I wish GOG added information to games, what aspect ratios are correctly supported. Although this game lets you set 3440x1440 resolution and 21:9 aspect ratio, it is actually not correctly handled. You will get very bad fish eye effect, which makes me dizzy and renders the game almost unplayable for me.
