BEST FLIGHT SIM EVER. WH IS NOT ON MAC?
I have ALL the main flight simulators. I love them, and IL-2 is the best series ever. However, I can't play anymore. I use Mac. Please Ubisoft, we beg you: do it for Mac, sell it for $150. I buy it.

Doesn't Run on Windows 10
I first bought this game on Steam and after installing it, I hit the play button and the game won't start. I went back and read the system requirements on the Steam page for the game and noticed it said it's compatible up to Windows 7. Later I noticed the game here on GOG and saw the system requirements says it is Windows 10 compatible, even WIndows 11 compatible. When I saw this I thought maybe GOG worked their magic and made it working on new OS's so I decided to buy it again here on GOG. I installed the game, clicked the play button and nothing happens, game won't start, just like the Steam version. I asked around and some say it does work for them on Win10 and others say it won't. I don't know why that is, I tried searching the issue on Google and found nothing helpful, asked for help on forums, no helpful answers. It makes me really sad, I really love combat flight simulation and I've played every one that's come out since CFS3 back in 2002, this game being the only exception. I'm so dissapointed.s

This game can work
if you install the game at the root of the c: drive and also all the released patches. At least the CD version works like this in Windows 10/11 64-bit

Don't waste your money - it doesn't work
This game is a complete and utter mess on modern OS (Win 10 and Win 11) - just check the forums. Stay away.

It's lonely out in space
Don't play missions, just do quick one-off scraps. Flew a ME-163 to over 30,000m. The earth was a blue ball at that height (no continents), and you could see space. Then I dive bombed and crashed. No crater, completely unrealistic. Despite that, good game.
