Too hard
The default difficulty that is the only one is way too hard. I expected a similar difficulty to Hollow Knight but Silksong is a lot harder. Very disappointing. Selectable levels of difficulty are a basic accessibility feature that no game should miss. If a game like Sifu can have difficulty settings, so can Silksong.

Hiiiighly frustrating at times
Silksong builds off hollowknights foundations which gives it some of the best atmosphere, art, music and general vibe in the genre. christopher larkin is coming in full force once again and its great. My problems come in some of the gameplay decisions, theyve been discussed ad nauseam now, long runbacks for bosses, no currency aside from specific farming spots and basic enemies hitting for double damage etc. personally i prefered the level of difficulty and more casual approach i could take to hollow knight and this is a step above and gets really quite frustrating at times when it really didnt need to be.

Too difficult. The game is playing me.
Too difficult. I played Hollow Knight a few years back, spent much time "beating" the game, say 98% (because the rest was too difficult). Now, this one is one or two levels more difficult. Or three. Not only combat, also platforming (after Craw lake) is way more punishing. So I have the same feeling as for the Dark Souls series - Try, die, die, die die, repeat 20-30 times and beat the mini-boss. There are so many of them that I don't feel to spend 100 or more hours to get to the bad ending. Or maybe 200 hours to get to 90%. This is no fun. G. PS: two stars for the art and the hope that you can finish the game.

To cumbersome
Lovely game made with passion but too much situations were it feels unnecessary time wasting and cumbersome. To long ways from respawn to bosses and jumping puzzles. Damage balance is broken. All this makes the game artifical long and lead more to quit the game then to see a competion like in HK origin.

Im in a toxic relationship already.
Honestly love it so far. The single complaint I have is that too many things deal 2 masks of damage. The enviornmental damage being the weirdest. Some bosses have a bunch of 2 damage combos too but their bosses so I think they get a pass... its just quite a lot of 2 damage attacks tbh...
