Not very original, but still very solid.
Almost everything about this game is good: setting, units, upgrades, choices and their consequences, factions, variety, length, even music. Yet, nothing is brilliant, new, unseen or extraordinarily executed. It's a solid product which I liked and I suspect many fans of the genre would too. The only downside I see is within the story, the world feels like it has much to tell you about itself, yet it never takes that opportunity. The woods are haunted by the spirits, cool, but please explain how that happens and why, if you're going to tell me the story, please do so. Our clan has a feud with clan X? Nice, but why and how does it started? Tell me the background, explain a bit and I will be happy to make my decisions based upon that, not based upon the rewards it brings me. And when there is no context, how else can I weight my decisions if not by checking every reward via saving and reloading? Overall I give this game an 8: solid, pleasure to play, but there is nothing groundbreaking in it.

Fun Game
Fairly well designed and challenging. A nice variety of unit types. I do wish advancing non-hero units was a little less resource reliant.

Masterpiece
Simple start, awesome story and its presentation, simple but convincing. Great progression, choices of your army, leveling, moveing, it's all top notch.

Great Game!
Fun and alot more deep than it looks and very pretty looking. The UI is alot better than the original to along with the awesome sound and music. The units are cool and different with many upgrade paths to chose from. Make sure to use the terrian to its full to get the best from your units. I also like the lack of RNG very nice. The onslaught DLC is enjoyable i choose the mercenary commander to play and its been touch and go Its very hard but fun. Unlike the main campaign the DLC campaign is procedurally generated with 30 maps which is nice adds to the value for me. Great Game Good Job Devs!
