Fallout London is a total conversion mod made by Team FOLON® for Fallout 4 GOTY and requires you to own the base game on either GOG or Steam.
How to install and play Fallout London:
If you own Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition on Steam, please click here to access the installation's instructions provided by Team FOLON®. You will have to downgrade your version, then install the Fallout: London via our dedicated launcher.
Install Fallout London via GOG GALAXY and launch it.
Follow the launcher’s instructions, and enjoy!
A Polite Disclaimer
In typical imperial British fashion, Fallout: London will take over your Fallout 4 installation. Installing Fallout: London will make irreversible changes to the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition installation. You’ll also need to disable cloud saves (as the save folder is shared between the game and the mod). If you’d like to play the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition again, you’ll need to uninstall the game and the mod, and then reinstall Fallout 4: GOTY Edition.
Summary
Fallout: London lets you explore a dishevelled London set in the Fallout universe. It overhauls Fallout 4 with a new story, new weapons, London-centric items and a vast recreation of the ruined city to explore.
Fallout: London is a free total conversion mod for Fallout 4, available to anyone who owns the base game and all of its DLCs. It is developed non-commercially by Team FOLON, many of whom are proud London residents or expats.

I cannot in my personal opinion recommend this experience so far.
Simply because I cannot experience the game/mod as advertized.
Keep in mind, I will update this review once a patch has come through.
This is partially why I don't like many mods for fallout.
Because they have more dependencies than Linux debs and Windows dlls combined.
And they always mess up.
1 star until a proper patch is made, because I don't view modding and then debugging Fallout as entertainment as many modders do.
I just want to have fun.
And this ain't it.
Have been enjoying my time a lot with this mod, however, if I weren't already a very experienced modder, this would genuinely be unplayable as many other reviewers have mentioned.
To make the install process as painless as possible for myself, I bought a new FO4 copy on Gog and installed the mod from there. With just those two steps I was able to explore, albeit with 30-50fps on a 4090, 13900k. Not satisfied with this experience I went through the discord, changed my INI settings, capped my FPS, and only after installing an external INI editor was I able to achieve a stable 90fps (anything over caused speed up issues).
Next came the crashes...
Unlike many others, I didn't experience the "Train Crash Crash", but just random crashes while exploring the overworld, or while entering/exiting locations. Later I found this was due to a small setting in the Buffout config, which after changing fixed about 60% of my crashes. I still crash often while fast traveling.
Another frustration out of the box is the literal minute and a half load times to go to the London overworld, this required the Long Load Time Fix, which worked for me, but supposedly causes many issues for others.
To make a long story short, my experience with Fallout London has been very much enjoying the content I'm presented with, running into a game breaking crash or glitch, searching the discord and forums for a fix, applying that fix, then repeat.
Also just to vent a bit, I know the devs are mostly British, and don't have experience with firearms like many in the west do, but the sheer lack of damage firearms do in this game is laughable. An unarmored headshot with a service rifle to a human enemy does like 1/3rd of its health, with body shots being weaker than a smack with a bat. What the heck.
Were this game to have no CTD errors or issues that require a host of mods to fix, I'd give it an 8/10, with these issues, if you're not an experienced modder, this is at most a 1-2/10 as its unplayable.
Have Fallout 4 on steam, downgraded it and after downloading it on gog, I can't install it.
The installing window closes after a few seconds and nothing happens
