Fallout London is a total conversion mod made by Team FOLON® for Fallout 4 GOTY and requires you to own the base game on either GOG or Steam.
How to install and play Fallout London:
If you own Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition on Steam, please click here to access the installation's instructions provided by Team FOLON®. You will have to downgrade your version, then install the Fallout: London via our dedicated launcher.
Install Fallout London via GOG GALAXY and launch it.
Follow the launcher’s instructions, and enjoy!
A Polite Disclaimer
In typical imperial British fashion, Fallout: London will take over your Fallout 4 installation. Installing Fallout: London will make irreversible changes to the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition installation. You’ll also need to disable cloud saves (as the save folder is shared between the game and the mod). If you’d like to play the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition again, you’ll need to uninstall the game and the mod, and then reinstall Fallout 4: GOTY Edition.
Summary

Fallout: London is a free total conversion mod for Fallout 4, available to anyone who owns the base game and all of its DLCs. It is developed non-commercially by Team FOLON, many of whom are proud London residents or expats.

First off, for a mod this thing knocked it out of the park. I know it's assets added on top of an existing engine, but it feels like playing a beta version of a full fledged fallout game. The amount of content was equivalent to Fallout New Vegas, but compressed into a full city.
My biggest issue is optimization & fast travel. And a tiny issue where the voice lines don't change based on your character gender.
Optimization is badly needed. Or an easy way to integrate existing performance mods. Multiple crash to desktops which were only resolved by dialing visual quality to the bottom. Especially when you get to a late game area with a lot of assets.
Fast travel is also a big issue. The way the map is structured, you need to have 2 map loads in the late game. One to get back to the city proper, another to get to your destination. It's a lot of loading screens once you get to the late game.
game looks great, amazing even.
unplayable.
you'd think that they'd test it out first to see if it works??? nope. can't boot it up, i've tried for some time and have gotten as far as to be able to press the new game button, how exciting.
i'm excited to try it out, and i'm sure it's great, but this really is not the way it should be going.
First thing's first, it needs more work and it does crash for me in 2 locations. Now that's out of the way, it's an excellent game. The attention to detail is great, it's huge, the map is extremely detailed even compared to the original game. They changed much more in the game than I wouldve thought. Really really impressive.
After a few more updates I think it'll be a phenomenal game. Main issue is it crashes in 2 spots on the map for me, some dialogue is missing and so far 1 mission is bugged and can't be finished. Although with how huge the map is I've had plenty of other things to discover.
Definitely worth the download as it's free, just be aware it has as many bugs as a regular Bethesda game, but honestly the map has been more packed with things to see than the regular Fallout 4.
Really great job to Team Folon and I unpatiently await future updates.
