Point Lookout - Embark on a mysterious and open-ended adventure in a huge, murky swampland along the coast of Maryland.
Mothership Zeta - Defy hostile alien abductors and fight your way off of the alien mothership, orbiting miles above the Capital Wasteland.

Rain death and destruction in an all-new cinematic presentation.
Mind-Blowing Artificial Intelligence - At Vault-Tec, we realize that the key to reviving civilization after a global nuclear war is people. Our best minds pooled their efforts to produce an advanced version of Radiant AI, America's First Choice in Human Interaction Simulation. Facial expressions, gestures, unique dialog, and lifelike behavior are brought together with stunning results by the latest in Vault-Tec technology.
Eye-Popping Prettiness* - Witness the harsh realities of nuclear fallout rendered like never before in modern super-deluxe HD graphics. From the barren Wasteland, to the danger-filled offices and metro tunnels of DC, to the hideous rotten flesh of a mutant's face.
I had a lot of trouble getting the steam version to work. This is much less hassle. Fallout NV may be a better game but Fallout 3 was always more atmospheric to me.
So I love that GOG made fallout 3 work on Windows 10, it never made sense Bethesda didn't as it uses the same client as New Vegas which works fine. I will say that I quick save after any little thing as the client randomly minimizes it self and won't open causing me to use task manager to close and restart it. I played this when it first came out so the nostalgia is nice. I think Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 4 are better games in the same sense that Fallout 2 is better then Fallout 1, but both those games have their own merits and are fun to play. It was nice Bethesda brought the universe of Fallout back in a more FPS/Role play game but with still a lot of the flavor of the orignals. The story is decent and it makes sense for purified water to be a driving need in the wasteland. The character development and build is decent, I would of like to have been able to at least hit the head with a Ripper as the called shot to the eyes with a melee weapon was one of my favorite attacks in Fallout 1/2. The DLCs do a good job of adding and extending the game, which Bethesda seems to have backed of based on how they dealt wtih Fallout 4. I recommend buying it for around the $10 or below price.
15 hours in, and it’s a flawless experience. Thanks GOG. Graphics have exceeded my expectations. Story is fantastic and NPC interaction is amazing. Cool missions too. I look forward to also buying New Vegas from GOG!
My only criticism is that I get lags here and there (FPS drops) on my relatively high end system, which has forced me to turn down some settings, but this has no impact to the naked eye.
I’m playing with no mods and have only the unofficial patch installed - which was a piece of cake thanks to the new “.exe newbie version” on nexusmods.
chiefly, the in-game experience is greatly improved by the simple fact that i finished the story mode without crashing or freezing once...not once! I bought f03 from steam, would even run, someone suggested gog and holy crap, ill even give fallout 4 another go if gog starts selling it.
the game itself, yeah its fun, you quickly get over how dated the graphics are, the story is fairly compelling, i usually just run amock, this one actually held my interest enough to do the main quests
i dont like that the pets die forever, but im kind of casual, hardcore folk might like that, and i wish the vendors had more caps on them, those were my main gripes
ooooh, and the quest guiding system took me a while to figure out because the compass kept guiding me into the metro tunnels and making all kinds of weird detours instead of b-lining me to the objective, turns out alot of the DC is not accessible from the surface, once i figured that out, i spent a lot less time on the surface going "wtf where do i go now?!"
Damn, played and loved new vegas for a really long time, played fallout 4 and liked it too, but Fallout 3.. played it once time ago and I don't know why I didn't liked it.
Picked it up again and played it as it should, following the main and side quest, nothing about wandering arround because it's not the kind of game that rewards you for that.
The storyline is absolutelly amazing. I completed the main quest in about 9 hours that took me arround 2 weeks of playing. Holly molly. They feel like months of adventure.
Every encounter is different, every conversation unique "inside the quests" you feel the evolution of your own character and your decisions matter on the wasteland.
I felt really immersed on the game, a lot more than the other 3d fallouts, It shows up this title it's a detailed and cared peace of art from bethesda. Every zone has its own details, you dont feel like going from pre-made zone to another pre-made zone, they are highly detailed for a 2008 game.
Aside of that, performance is stunning, it works flawlessly and only crashed 3 or 4 times, using 0 mods, 100% vanilla. Keep in mind you should press F5 to autosave very often because things can get fu**ed up real quick in this game, and things that you cannot undo.
10 out of 10, DLC time
