Developed by id software, the studio that pioneered the first-person shooter genre and created multiplayer Deathmatch, DOOM returns as a brutally fun and challenging modern-day shooter experience. Relentless demons, impossibly destructive guns, and fast, fluid movement provide the foundation for intense, first-person combat.
Story
You’ve come here for a reason. The Union Aerospace Corporation’s massive research facility on Mars is overwhelmed by fierce and powerful demons, and only one person stands between their world and ours. As the lone DOOM Marine, you’ve been activated to do one thing – kill them all.
A Relentless Campaign
There is no taking cover or stopping to regenerate health as you beat back Hell’s raging demon hordes. Combine your arsenal of futuristic and iconic guns, upgrades, movement and an advanced melee system to knock-down, slash, stomp, crush, and blow apart demons in creative and violent ways.
Please note: The DRM-Free version of DOOM (2016) is single-player only. Multiplayer and online functionality for SnapMap are not included. SnapMap content is unlocked by default.
first doom game ive played and im having so much fun, gave me some titanfall 2 vibes for some reason and I love it. that was my first fps and this game brings back a lot of memories
Ive played it on console before and really enjoyed the game, I have a newly buffed up PC that can handle this on Max settings so I wanted to give this another whirl before Dark Ages comes out. Thanks for the sale! Anyone on the fence about buying the game, Just do it!
Doom (2016) delivers a solid mix of fast action, reassuingly powerful weaponry and enough sercrets and easter eggs to ensure you don't just blow through the whole thing too quickly.
It has a perfectly paced campaign with just enough in the way of upgrades to help you shape things around the way you play without going too deep and becoming needlessly RPG-like.
It's unfortunate that with Eternal id decided that they had to up the complexity, with more backstory, more platforming elements, more character upgrades etc. They took it too far away from the pace that makes this 2016 edition to the series so vital.
Doom 2016 is an easy recommendation for anyone looking for a fast paced single player FPS.
