Jank but enjoyable in places

There's clearly a lot of work gone into this, but so much of it is still broken. In the very first mission I somehow got a wheelchair stuck around my character that stayed with me for the rest of the mission then a character with me walked into a locker causing all the physics objects around it to explode. Walking over physics objects can sling your charater forward. I have a pretty high tolerance for jank and laughed most of it off. Writing and voice acting seems pretty damn good tho for the most part. The game in general seems fairly average with the stealthy, shooty, skill-tree routine you see in a lot of major games. There's also a ridiculous amount of trash that you can't help picking up. Audio mix is also really bad. Keanu Reeves was asking if I liked a busker's playing, which seemed like an interesting little interaction, but I couldn't hear a note because the bin on fire 5 meters away was roaring like it was duct taped to my ear. I don't hate it but it was just fine for 10 hours or so and there's much more interesting experiences to play out there.

1 Year Later; Stable but Not Fun

Honestly there are so many minor annoyances with this game I am just going to list the most questionable design features that annoy me the most. There are more, but these are what make me hate the game. Enemies can clip through transitory objects, like cars, and attack -but within those areas are invulnerable to melee and ranged damage. 1 year after launch? How has this not been fixed. They also still T pose. Gear now requires levels to use. Purchasing gear requires a separate system called Street Cred to be levelled. Encounters level based upon your character level. So if you have a high level but low Street Cred you can't acquire the cyberdecks to level up your breaching skills which results in lopsided and frustrating progression. Why is there levelled gear anyway? There weren't any at launch. Why introduce a feature which serves no purpose but to restrain people from playing the way they want to? Why is clothing dependent upon Street Cred. Why must I dress like garbage for the most of the game? Exploration is a nightmare. Half the textures, like most rocks, cannot be jumped onto or climbed. Those objects that can be climbed can only be approached in very specific fashions. You must grab ledges above head height. Jumping from one building to another, hit a ledge at midrift, shoulder, or head height, you will not make any attempt to cling, pull yourself, or climb. You simply bump against it and fall to your death. Cops exist only to target the player. Walking down the street and accidentally aggro some mobs, well don't bother trying to place the cops between you and them so you don't have to deal with the nuisance, the cops will simply aggro on you for getting within their awareness zone, and then stay hostile indefinitely afterward. Whenever you are within line of sight of them again, a Crime Reported warning will flash and cops will begin teleporting in behind you. Cops vs NPCs are all scripted events. So much more I want to say but I am out of characters.

Awesome experience

I have preorderd it and was lucky enough, that I have not encountered any serious bugs back than (graphic ones were rather funny). It was great game for me from the start with awesome story. I have finished it twice already and cannot wait fort third playtrough after the DLC come out. CD Projekt Red proves over and over, that they know, how to make great content.

Gave it a shot

Well due due its controversy on release I stayed away for two years. I finally gave it a shot. And while I went in with a pretty negative bias, I actually really liked my time with CP2077. What won me over were ultimately the characters, which is pretty amazing considering how spoiled the games story is at this point. But it pulled me in hock line and sinker. I can't comment on the technical state of the game at the time of release but I went smoothly on my machine and only crashed once. Is it the best thing since sliced bread, probably not. And I hope we get to see more from this world. I'll really miss Johnny.
