Awesome game, very unique by its combination of genres. Its biggest flaw is its level design, kinda boring and somehow annoying but you should not prevent you from enjoying the game!
The Single Biggest BANE of Gaming is Timed missions!
Second Biggest is Lack of Manual Saves and dumb auto save system
This game has BOTH!
PLEASE add an option to disable time limits [of course its better if you remove them outright from the game, [NO ONE WANTS THEM], also allow us to save everywhere as much as we want this not Dark Souls!
The game gets tedious very quickly. I’ve spent roughly 5 hours playing and I already feel like I’ve discovered all there is to know. Such a shame as the game previews show a completely different experience than you’ll actually find yourself playing.
The GOG Version of Chernobylite is out of date as owners of the game on steam, have gotten the complete edition. This alongside the fact that even fallout 4 on gog is outdated makes recommending GOG difficult.
My advice? Until GOG actually get off their asses and up the games, don't bother with this store. People who buy games here deserve to have an up to date product that has all the features that the game has on both Steam and Epic. GOG doesn't even have integrity to place a little warning on games like how Steam does. e.g. Need For Speed Unbound on Steam has warnings about how that game requires 3rd Party DRM (Denuvo) and agreement to a 3rd Party EULA (Need For Speed Unbound Eula). GOG doesn't bother warning its customers by putting such warnings on the games to inform their customers that the games aren't up to date and that its up to the customer if they want to wait for the game to be updated or buy it as it is.
You gotta love a Chernobyl-themed game that has you adjust the GAMMA when you first load it.
Chernobylite takes a somewhat different approach than STALKER, but the gloomy charm of the Zone is pretty much the same.
