Nice retro FPS
It's a nice quake liek retro FPS, it has some interesting ideas, and a cool gore system, however the levels can be sometimes confusing.

Wacky fun, questionable level design
Enjoyable gameplay, and a goofy story. Comes with the original for some added value. The enemy path finding seems a bit inept which seems to limit the difficulty. The level design is easily the biggest negative. Lots of hidden paths and switches to who-knows-where. If it didn't have a map, determining how to progress would be baffling (which it still often is). Overall, a fun little time-waster.

Fun, Charming and Influential
Meh'd by critics as poor man's Quake back in 1997, Chasm's fun and charming gameplay has stood the test of time and is now considered a 90s fps classic. Play it and see why so many boomer shooters, like HROT, are trying to emulate the game's inimitable vibes.

Respectable Classic!
This game is very overrated and obscure. I have come to enjoy this simple yet addictively fun game. My only gripes is its very weird starting points with the levels, especially the one with the exit sewer - easiest way to die if you were low on HP from the previous level. I wonder if this game is moddable...

Bought it after Civvie11's Review
Hint: In the starting area, there's a door that's partially open. Inside that room there's a blinking Electrical circuit box. To proceed you have to shoot the Electrical circuit, this will open the door. You're welcome ;) Saw Civvie11's entertaining review and decided to try the demo. I didn't like it much at first (got stuck in the starting area) but then got the Doom II Enhanced edition. After finishing the OG masterpiece and its master levels, I decided to give this gem second shot and I'm so happy I did. After finding in a YT video how proceed fromthe starting area, it was a blast to play. The Super-shotgun and the Vulcan cannon are a real treat for any FPS fans (powerful like the weapons in Boltgun) and the levels are fun to explore. This is an older shooter with it's limitations but plenty of fun! Thank you Civvie11 and Thank you GOG! Try the Free Demo then buy it! 5/5
