Baldur's gate 3 should be renamed or something, it is NOT the true baldur's gate experience.. While the graphics and interaction stuff is amazing, the game is extremly linear in the way you must travel or do things, unlike baldur's gate 1 where you can freeroam almost from the start... For this reason i feel it's too far from the true baldur's gate experience. No chat in multiplayer is stupid, i'm a mute person and cannot speak with a microphone they really didn't consider things.. also they got chat boxes for rolls and stuff already. Turn-based is another joke, I understand some people struggle with a little action but i feel this should have stayed RTWP or round-based realtime like neverwinter nights... I'm disappointed, i was a big fan of baldur's gate, icewind dale and planescape..
Excellent mechanics, adventure, combat. Most of the companions are fun.
Forced diversity and agenda drags the rating down. Fewer white people than other races (dragonborn, etc.). You wonder how the the gnomes reproduce as 4 of 5 gnome couples I saw are homosexual.
The 3 atack gnolls in Act 1 made me quitt. It's just ridiculous. I don't want to cheese my way around such things. Thne all these surface effects that Larian likes so much. I rather play BG 2 again than this.
amazing game engine, decent implementation of dnd 5 (im still not a fan of it), mid campaign, very poor writing and vision of fearun. Good thing "unlocked" toolset is available, hopefully we will get fan-made campaigns soon that we, crpg enjoyers, deserve.
I've heard nothing but praise, but am already finding the gameplay, UI, etc incredibly frustrating. Icons are too small, manipulating the map and party is a chore, tutorials disappear too fast to be useful at all, 2 hours in and I had to quit cuz it all was making my skin itch. If it's a me problem, then so be it. But it's still a problem that drives me away.
