Extremely Clever Concept

I did not go into this game really knowing how it would be, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. A survival city builder that is also a roguelite/like? It works better than you would think. My main issue with most roguelikes is that they get repetitive and boring, but this twist on it has made it easier to push past that. The situation for each settlement is different and there are many ways to go about preparing and building. Each race has it's own wants/needs and there are many more things that keep things interesting.

Turned into something amazing

I bought this a year ago and played for 2 hours, said meh, didn't look at it again. Then I tried it again at the start of November because I was in the mood for a city builder. And it's a work of genius. The art style is beautiful, the mechanics are simple, your effect on the world is complex, the lore is interesting. And it is still in early access! I'd be happy if this were the full game. I really like this.

Very good game

This game is already good right now in its current state. It's a refreshing new take on the "city builder/managing" type game The roguelite aspect of the game actually works very well,it gives motivation to keep playing more and unlock stuff and offers a healthy challenge.

Amazing

When I first heard about a rogue-like city management game I thought that was incredibly silly and I rolled my eyes. Then I got a copy, played it, and I did nothing but play this game every day for a week. It is very, very, good. It also had that wonderful quality where when I wanted a QoL feature, it turned out it was already in the game I just didn't know about it yet. If you like city management games this is a must-try.

A fun refreshing spin on a city builder

Great little game for a relaxing time spend micro managing your little town. You can always pause to get a hold of any given situation, and then speed up thing by up to x3 when you feel you have a grip on everything. Cool mix of rouge like progression, leveling with permanent bonuses in skill trees and individual games of town management. Each game has a mix of available resources and random choose one upgrades/blueprints/buffs that make every one unique. Hooded Horse took known elements that show up in a variety of other games and mixed them up into something unique and fun. Wish more developers did this. Worth the money, full price.
