Not minimize to system tray completed
stunned this isnt a thing despite years of complaints
very very poor - will look for steam games rather than gog in future.
I do not understand why this has not been added yet...
It just makes the user experience worse </3 Even basic apps made by one person has this feature...
7 years and this hasn't been implemented? Uninstalling. That might sound like an overreaction, but as I have yet to use GOG, I'm not invested at all. At this rate, the Epic store will reach parity with steam before GOG implements a setting to close the app.
OK, well had liked this launcher but seriously, you're going to make me End Process from Task Manager to close the damn thing?
Don't use this launcher. It's got predatory tactics that can't be disabled (Minimize to tray).
How is it 2022 and this hasn't been implemented already? I'm going back to offline installers. :-/
The minimize button is there for a reason, why are they now giving the X button the minimize functionality?
Please (!) add this option to your fine software.
FTLOG PLEASE, please please please, respond to/address this issue - it is ***INFURIATING*** - I'm so tired of game publishers violating this standard and not ASKING the user for permission to "minimize to system tray" when clicking the X to close the app.
Windows should have a global user setting to allow us to DISABLE this obnoxious behavior and FORCE apps to get our permission before violating GUI standards so heinously!
there are two minimize Buttons instead of one minimize and one close button, wtf! :<
this has been going around for 5 years and it's *still* not fixed?
remove this bug - reimplement the true way of the "X"-Button.
Although I agree that the Galaxy client should have a configuration option for this, I disagree that it is not common. Steam does the same. Skype does the same. Closing such clients by closing the main window should be possible, but optional (default should be to minimize to the notification area).
Ever since windows supports workspaces (like basically every window manager on Unices and/or GNU/Linux ever) I disable the option to minimize to tray for everything since all those game launchers live on their own desktop, if I play a game I'm going to a different one, so those windows are out of sight anyway.
If I then want to close them, I want to hit the X or press Alt-F4 or any other combination of keys (depending on the OS of course).
+1

It's sad that they ignore us.
The current behavior is annoying and inconsistent with how most other applications work, meaning it is unexpected for most users and that is something that should be avoided in a proper UI-design. At least give us a config-option to turn this B.S. off.
bump
Restore feature please
Absolutely, we should be able to turn off going to the tray entirely and close the client completely.
