I don't mind games like this or Diablo but I'm not all about the collectathon. I like some story to my games. This game has a "story" but really it's "These bad things are happening. You go figure it out" kind of story. Not much meat there. I would recommend watching build videos on it first. There are some builds that are just plain bad that you could easily do in this game that would make you quit the game in frustration. Get it if you like Diablo.
I LOVED this game. It's a really great game to experience. It has some combat, stealth, alchemy, and puzzles in it but it's mostly a storytelling game between a girl and her ill brother as "shit hits the fan" and you two are surviving the harsh world they live in. Even though I have a good pc, I was still amazed how great this game looked. U know there are rats in the game and they looked good compared to how many there are on-screen at a time. I was just shocked my fps wasn't tanking cuz of how much was going on-screen. The story isn't SO good that you're still wondering what happened after you play it. It's just here's a nice simple story from beginning to end. Not many twists n' turns. Just a story about a sister/brother. If you're on the fence, just get it. If you're semi-interested in the game you'll enjoy it.
I beat this game not too long ago. It was very intriguing and pretty from beginning to end. It also has an over-arching story as you play and try to figure out the story the game is portraying to you. If you're on the fence but liked games like Abzu or Journey, you should definitely get this game. I give it 4/5 stars cuz near the end I was just "please I want to see the ending already" lol.
I have this on steam. It ran fantastically. This was a good game. Definitely a very nice looking game and it had a lot of great things going for it: The combat was intense The ships(different kinds to choose from, a unlock as you go kind of game) looked great and had different playstyles Multiple kinds of weapons/tech to use Intriguing story(albiet very narrow once you know what's going on but a headscratcher until the end) Environments were very well done. The "skybox" looks fantastic. There's debris everywhere to explore. Even black holes and alien entities. My biggest problem with the game was the combat and how the game handled progression: When you start the game, u enter ur ship and go into a randomly spawned area where you fly around and kill bad guys, find upgrades, etc, then you leave that zone to go to the next one. All good but my problem is if you take too long bad guy fleets show up and can basically obliterate you. So you're FORCED to leave the area even if you haven't found everything yet. I didn't like that. To top it off, AI are very accurate. It doesn't matter how you bob/weave you can not escape the weapons onslaught and your shields are instantly gone along with half ur hull. I found the best(and rather OP tbh) build was to play "sniper" and kill them from long distance cuz frankly dog fighting late game was akin to suicide. So VERY nice n' fun game it just had some downsides. If u like space shooters like Freelancer, you'll probably like this game. Get it on sale and try it out. I wouldn't pay more than $15 for it though tbh.
