Deponia is the only Gaming Franchise that I now of ,where every Game gets better and better. And Goodbye Deponia is no exeption. With a decent starting, a boring and forgettable (but thankfully short) middle, and an amazing last Chapter, Goodbye Deponia focuses more on the development of the protagonist, Rufus, and concluding the Trilogy. Although many seem to dislike the Ending of this game, I think it is a fitting End not to the Story, but a fitting End to Rufus.
It's easy pointing out the good things : like the first one it has great art direction, voice acting , characters, music , etc. But it is hard explaining why I think it is still worse than Edna Breaks Out. I guess it comes down to preference. This game has 3 Chapters. 2 of them are good , the other is meh. And honestly from the 3 Endings this game has, only 1 of them is actually good and a kind of satisfying conclusion (Not really but compared to the other to it is. The Ending generally feels cheap)
Even with a few rough spots, such as certain puzzles and choppy animation; this a classic and memorable "modern"Point and click adventure Be it the charming writing and characters, interresting puzzles and the ability of using and combining everything , it's one of the best of it's kind
Truberbrook is a game with two sides: On one hand it has a lot of character. Be it the the wonderful graphics, beatiful soundtrack/music ,the good voice acting and the memorable characters and locations. You can clearly feel the passion put into it But on the other hand, the gameplay is just ok. It isn't anything special, but rather simple (even for point and click adventures) Which is unfortunate ,because everything else is crafted so well. So for people who like point and click adventures and / or people who want to play sommething different for a change I highly recommand this game. Not as a secret masterpiece, but rather a rough and short experience. (Wait for a sale tho. Due to the length ,around 4 to 5 hours, I advice you buy it cheaper)
