From the little I've played, the game does run pretty smoothly. The issues are playing with controller. The GOG version does natively support a official PS4 controller (not tested with a DS5), but it will need to be connected through a cable and will not work wirelessly. I'm not gonna take the credit for this fix (found it somewhere online) , you will need the launch exe for the game from another storefront (I can't mention which) and swap it with the GOG's version. This will allow it to work wirelessly when used in addition to a controller software for the PS4 controller to recognise it as an XINPUT controller in game.
They tightened up the controls, plays alot more smoother. Runs buttery smooth.
Played the entire game from the release day until today and did not encounter a single bug, you can't say that about modern gaming. The art style is gorgeous and it shows fancy graphics are not needed. The framerate is buttery smooth on my graphics card and did not encounter a single dip. The best improvement of all are the reworked controls and camera. To those not happy about the price, you are getting a full game, that isn't broken and has extras. This game is a blessing given the times we are living in where publishers sole aims are to rip off customers. Hopefully we'll be seeing the Croc 2 remaster!
I love the tone for these games, they feel slighty dark and more mature than their predecessors. Mechanically the games are spot on they really tighened up the movement and aiming.
Not going to repeat what the others have wrote. All aspects of this game are well crafted forming a cohesive work of art.
