I played both of the games they had released and i have to say, this looks much better, with more details than before but both with great a story to tell. As far as game play, i think it works very well. In the beginning it took me awhile to get warm with the game. Its just me though. My overall impression is, that it is very captivating and it is drawing you in more and more, the more you decent. I played about 23h and as far as the story goes, it worked well. And, Moses was a great addition. Kind of like i would imagine an android of sorts. "Language, Mac" Best sentence. I think what stuck with me, is each protagonists struggle. Each has a back story, though i think it could perhaps gone a little deeper. But there aren't really negatives i can remember. This is a very good game, that is worth both time spend and money spend. I wish there were more games like that. Of course, i like Scifi and Horror elements the most but mystery works fine for me too and it has a lot of mystery. The voice acting is done well. Very believable how emotions are conveyed. I think i am very happy, that adventure gaming is still alive. It would be a shame if this genre wouldn't had anything anymore to offer. If you like SciFi, Mystique and horror elements tied in within an adventure game, you should try this title. I don't think you would be disappointment Just be aware that mechanics can take a little time to get used to and occasionally getting stuck because you are missing an item. The key is, to switch often characters to have each explore more to gain perhaps the item you will need to solve whatever problem you are facing at the moment. .
Disclaimer, a) i did not finish yet. I am at Chapter 11 b) i play on normal This game is getting many things right. You are captivated by the sheer beauty of the game. I think it is nice that you can skip any of the animation scenes but even then, they are pretty great. The story is, in my opinion, really good as it captures the dilemma of the struggle between saving and confrontation in reality. I found most puzzles solvable though some are harder. Depending on your brain i suppose. Another great feature is, even if you die, you start where you died more or less. So the game itself is engaging and it is quite frankly never really boring. It is a long game but ever environment where i went, things were to explore, challenges to overcome and rewarding. I am pretty bad in stealth, so i fight a lot. Perhaps you can overcome everything in stealth? I am not sure. To me, the game is well worth spending the money on. Especially for the beautiful graphics and the characters. You really feel for them as they go through all these challenges on their way to seek the answers. So i can really recommend the game, an adventure game that takes you on a great exploration. If you have musophobia, it may not be the game for you. Otherwise it may is. Mostly it is also bug free. I had one instance where character Sophia was gone during a puzzle. Nowhere to be seen but saying, i am busy now. Perhaps a glitch. Personally, i recommend to play both games since they are connected story wise but are playable with out one another. I think this one is a little harder than the first game in my experience but solvable even if you aren't a great gamer. Hope this helps.
It took me a long time to actually buy this game as i wasn't sure if it sort of a novella. So i did. Bought it and played. I was surprised how good the story was. Considering that it was set in France in 13th century ish (i hope i got that right) and with how the plague plays out, it was really a joy to play it. Even though it is a sad story with a lot of twists and turns. It confronts the player with some though choices that need to be made (in order to progress) The game is very polished in my opinion and i really enjoyed to be Amicia and her wits and skills. If you have a phobia of rats, maybe this isn't your game. Oh yes, you probably will die a lot. At least i did. Some puzzles have to be learned and timing is of essence. I don't know how many times i was cursing the game because i failed the timing. In my defense, i am old. I even liked the ending which felt warm and eradiated the love of the siblings. You will roughly play 10h, which matches the store page. Possible quicker play through. I think it is ideal if you don't want to spend too much time on a game and you can replay on the harder levels (didn't try that). What i liked is also how the scenes were portrait and rendered. It gives you a sense of the situation and the reality of these times very well. Kind of wishing for more games like this. It makes the time spend not wasted but count for some great entertainment.
well, this is a title i wasn't even sure about it. It turns out it isn't that bad and i really liked the voice of the antagonist. Besides that, lots of puzzles. Some are easy, some require more thinking. One thing is you can't go back. Once you pass through a section that loads the next level so to speak you are there. Overall i think its a good title. Graphics are fine and when playing as a child it makes a lot of sense. Its a rather short game but entertaining nonetheless. Is it worth 10$? I think it is. The whole point of the game is to follow a child that is in captivity and find your way out. And i can't imagine to be there as a child. Is it scary enough? :)
I have this game on Steam but really want to rebuy it from GoG. Anyway, this is a pretty dark story with very disturbing images. You enemies are very grotesque to emphasize they guild. When you start it appears to be a nice puzzle game as you go along but the deeper you go in the darker it becomes. You die a lot but you also don't get a penalty because of it. I think there could have been some penalties to challenge the player. Overall, the tone, score and vibe is right. It draws you in and leaves you with questions. The game itself is rather short but its worth playing if you like compelling stories of the dark and the be questions about yourself as the MC. You probably want to replay it again to get all the things you missed. I like that you can move the camera around to get a better glimpse of your surroundings. It gives lets you take in the environment where you are at. The horror lurks within and maybe within yourself.
