There are some reviews that talk about the good and the bad of a game (or games). Then there are reviews that just don't do a game justice. The QfG series has only one flaw, it was never finished. Don't let that stop you though, if you've never played this series you must do so.
If you are going to play a Might and Magic: #3, 6-7 are all worth your time. #1, 2, 4, 5 and 8 are good to play afterwards, but not as good as the others. M&M9 is as much a M&M game as Heroes of Might and Magic is. Really, it's such a different beast and NOT in a good way. Where as HoMM changed the formula and made an entertaining new experience, M&M9 fails in every regard. Please purchase M&M 1-8, but forget this one.
This is my first time writing a review for a game. I won't bore you with details, all I can say is if you liked civilization and you like magical games then you will love MoM. There is still YET to be a sequel for this and that is a real shame. By far, one of the greatest games ever made. I don't say that lightly, this really is.
