For what it is worth, I dig it and it gives me the feeling of playing a variant of Diablo 1 and that's okay. Got it on sales, it wasn't bad and I'm still playing it for the time being, though I wish I can choose/modify encounter rates.
Definitely has its ups and downs, and made better by both regular modding (adding extra TLC and QoL stuff) and the QoL updates and fixes by the actual team.
