I just noticed the 3rd DCL added dynamic missions and dynamic campaigns making it just like Steel Panthers, a game I played countless times for days on end... I am so happy
An otherwise awesome game ruined by a save system that is BULLSHIT, the game will save itself at random points without any player control so it is very easy to lose all your progress and have to do an entire mission more than once.
I got this because it was on sale and I wanted to support the developers. HUGE MISTAKE, the game has gotten unstable and almost unplayable with constant crashing.
This is an excellent entry into the franchise, the only complaint is that the load times are pretty long for some things which is annoying.
Just finished the first mission where you need to stop the convoy (2 BMP-2 APCs and a BTR AFV along with 4 Ural trucks), with very little equipment. Took about 20 tries but once I realized the tan truck you start with has some extra rockets and satchel charges along with some mines it got easier. I am hooked and looking at getting more games in the franchise
This is the RTS game I have always dreamed about, I love everything about it. Yes it has a steep learning curve and yes it will punish you for making mistakes, but, such is life.
Got this on steam, old 2.8.1 saves are not compatible with this so you need to start again, but, I love everything about the update and this DLC, It is totally worth it
Can you play this game and enjoy it without the DLCs, yes. Do the DLCs make the game better, no question. I highly recommend this game I have the Steam version with every DLC and regret nothing, the bonus being with Steam is you get the user made content as well and some of that, especially the Star wars theme stuff is amazing.
