Book of Demons

Too many flaws & optimisation issue

The game is OK, somewhere between fun and meh, alright concept with unintuitive and clunky control. What is unacceptable is that the game lags severely when multiple enemies and spells in one screen. I have 6700k + GTX 1080 +16G + SSD, which runs most of the games on the market at highest settings at 60p @ 1080p, which includes Witcher 3 and the latest Total War Three Kingdoms, but not this one. Combined with the bad control, the little fun it offers sunk quick.

Little Nightmares

Disappointed

How is this game tagged 'Horror'? It plays like an inside ripoff, but a very boring one. TBH the game is not bad made, feels pretty smooth. But that is the only good side. Control needs tweaking, I used keyboard and changed to XB360 controller and hoped for the better, but meh. The problem is that this game has a dedicated 'Grab' button, which is very annoying. Sprint, jump, grab, you have to hold sprint, press jump and then hold grab to grab edge of anything. Grab is also being used for interaction, however, if you face a drawer, you automatically grab the handle of it, make jumping on it a pain (then why a 'grab' button at all?). A lot of game mechanics are just like inside, execept it is a 3D platformer rather than 2D like inside, which only makes gameplay worse. My suggestion, if you like inside, play inside. If you want to play a true horror game through a kid's view, play among the sleep. I truely regret I have pre-ordered this (but hey, I got inside for free).
