The game is fun to play, but the controls are fiddly. If you hold your keyboard key for a millisecond longer, the game misinterprets it as a double click. This makes it hard to navigate the map, and sometimes you skip too many dialogue lines by accident. Autoscrolling of the dialogues is too fast even on the "Slow" setting, so you miss a lot of the text. And, yes, I actually want to read the text, the story is important in games!
One of the best racing games I know. It's hard, especially if you are not used to its speed. Even if you outrun your opponents, just staying on course is difficult. Level design is excellent - there are multiple side-tracks and even some hidden passages. Downsides: 1) Repair and upgrade system is not very obvious. I only noticed that upgrade parts wear down after completing the game 3 times. 2) There are multiple control options, like tilting your ship, but it is unclear when to use them. Normally I stick to just 3 buttons, and I feel like I miss out something.
The game is very dynamic and addictive (it's Devolver, isn't it?), but menu controls are very non-obvious and there is no way to enter options menu or quit the game in a "normal" way once you start a battle - the latter probably a bug. Auto-save feature makes it a perfect office time-killing game - alt+F4 any time, you don't loose anything.
