Inspired by Baldur's gate 1, Low-magic setting, not completly finished but will be for sure by developers who made two amazing previous rpgs (Atom Rpg and Atom Rpg Trudograd), Lots of settings/ui/option stuff and considerate for the player.. Amazing gameplay can either fluidly do 100% turn-based or realtime-with-pause baldur's gate 1 style.. Can either do isometric or 3d plane-of-view. I can only say good things about this game already, Also good amount of freedom and things to do.. I 100% ignored my companions and told them to bugger off to explore on my alone and solo with my bow.. Theres cooking and crafting.. rations to heal etc.. Game is openworld/freeroam 100% and aims for it. Interesting character creation but also dialogue or pen n paper style choices with checks in game with different outcomes. This is game of the year for me and it runs on my potatoe PC on low while still looking great. I have it on gog but it's available elsewhere plan to get it on both store only for support.
Baldur's gate 3 should be renamed or something, it is NOT the true baldur's gate experience.. While the graphics and interaction stuff is amazing, the game is extremly linear in the way you must travel or do things, unlike baldur's gate 1 where you can freeroam almost from the start... For this reason i feel it's too far from the true baldur's gate experience. No chat in multiplayer is stupid, i'm a mute person and cannot speak with a microphone they really didn't consider things.. also they got chat boxes for rolls and stuff already. Turn-based is another joke, I understand some people struggle with a little action but i feel this should have stayed RTWP or round-based realtime like neverwinter nights... I'm disappointed, i was a big fan of baldur's gate, icewind dale and planescape..
I have both on steam and gog now that's amazing, I always asked myself what if Svarog's dream could be preserved and kept safe " forever ". The worldbuilding in this game reminds me of ultima 7 in a way that it's really well-built for an ARPG it's like a mix of CRPG and action to me. Dying can be fun in this game you can possess an existing non-player character that was living their life or roaming around in the world!
