I've been playing Surviving Mars since the beginning. First it was almost unplayable, than it became more and more fun with the additional DLCs, especially with terraforming. After the release of Beyond and Below the game has been on a downword spiral. It's a shame, it was a good game, even though it was simple, but had a good atmosphere to it.
My expectations were probably bit too high, I wanted a good survival horror sim, but this did not do it for me. The resource management is very basic, the buildings are to confined. I miss having a proirity system, yeah you can activate and diactive focus of your survivors, but its lacking in my opinion. The demons are a fun story element, but to be honest when I beat the first demon with a simple club that ruined a bit the game experience. I have spent 3-4 hours only in this game and to be honest that was enough. It's bar bones, maybe mods make it way better, don't know did not check them, As for verdict, for this price is okay, but I think it's lacking to occupy too much of your time.
