Leap of Faith + Official Walkthrough

overrated

This is not the title you're looking for... it's VN first and foremost with scenes few and far between... and to unlock them all it requires multiple playthroughs, even when having saves in key moments. The story is ... a dream (not literally)... it's completely implausible.... it has all the good vibes and it's nice and all is positive... but too sweet for my taste... even one dark chapter is not enough to slightly bitter it. Main character is a nice guy and every girl almost literally glues to him the moment they meet. He doesn't earn anything in game... except by being the ultimate nicest guy on Earth. I liked the walkthrough add-on, really insightful of mechanics behind. Dev commentary was also interesting. I wish more devs put some of it These are worth a star here...

Railway Empire

lacking substance

tldr: I refunded while in beta, game is good, but lacks content for the price. I'm afraid DLC spam to come. The game is gorgeous, sound is great, laying tracks is the best experience of all railroad sims so far, but: - maps are very limited (US only) - in comparison the old RRT serie has almost all world covered; - AI competition or even a set of scripts for it is nearely non-existent, it simply cheats in all aspects and plays by different rules; - limited signals and train AI ... oh wait, there's none, trains always go the shortest route to the same platform, no matter what, no matter the alternatives. It kind of works... well, also kind of infuriates at times, because you cannot set the route to bypass the city if the line is even slightly longer than the one passing through, which leads to congestion and... - ... you have to get the shipment right to the destination, no leaving cars for pick-up by other trains, considering the point above it's becoming tedious... warehouse kind of solves the issue somewhat; - game ends about 1920s (I may be wrong here), and locomotives are limited, also about a third of them isn't even useful. Overall I enjoyed it a bit despite all flaws, but still looking for modern RRT game (remake of old one?).
