Zoria: Age of Shattering

Great crpg

Fantastic game. I 100% recommend this one. I took 100 hours to complete the game on Hard difficulty and now I am playing again on Unfair. Knowing the things I learned the first time makes playing the game all over something I am looking forward to by trying different strategies. However the game is definitely a niche game - tactical turn based crpg with an old school vibe but it is done to perfection. Combat is fast paced even though it is turn based. Each battle taking only a couple of minutes. The story and lore is interesting with a nice twist at the end. Graphics are above average for an indie title, at times being downright beautiful. Voice acting is spasmodic, though at worse acceptable and excellent at best. Music is subdued and non intrusive and fits the world setting. You can save at any time (except during combat). There is a ton of loot but it is usually best to just sell off stuff you don't need. Crafting equipment gives more benefits. User Interface is good and controls are fine. Can play completely with the mouse if you want. There are quest pointers to help guide you. Game can be played then left for a couple of weeks and jumped back into. No complex systems to remember. Combat is a joy. I truly think it is one of the highlights of the game. There are no BS mechanics like waves of reinforcements or bosses with insurmountable health points. The only negative that comes to mind is there is no way to see what resistances enemies have during combat. You do get a codex that gives you that info but you cannot currently access it during combat. Look... if you in any way like indie isometric turn based combat crpg's this one will fill the bill. Completely worth it at full price and a must get at any sale.

Driftmoon Enchanted Edition

Fun rpg

Everything can be controlled by the mouse. Teleports make travel very easy. The game is easy to understand and play so it is also suitable for casual players. It is simply a joy to play. Hint: Make sure you move everything you can if you like hidden treasure.
