Each character feels much different than in previous Gauntlet games. This is good, because it makes the game much more replayable.
I love classic platformers, and metroidvanias are my favorite genre. This is the best game I have played in years.

Everything I loved about Alwas Awakening, but more. Deeper dungeons, more items and powers... same core gameplay.

The first hour or so of the game is enjoyable. Very chill. Then you realize that to make progress past the fourth chapter, you have to throw all chill out and start making high stress, pixel perfect potions. It became too tedious and stressful for me.
