Played this game with two buddies and we played through the whole thing. took about 4 hours but we had such a kickass time. The gore, the violence, the creepiness and fun bashing little pixel people to death. Deep combat system, that we kept finding new things to do up until the very end. The ending is good, but the story up to it was confusing. Not a bad thing, because it had a somewhat story and we all kept up with what we could while drinking that night. Worth it on sale and if you have some buddies. Can be fun single player, but beat em ups are all about the couch co-op.
Really fun puzzle game. I love the graphics and sound a lot. The little world grows with everyone level. You can beat the level just getting thru it without going bankrupt, but you can always revisit them to get the harder objectives. My wife and I played it for about 20 hours in the first two weeks on steam. Now i need to pick it up on GOG as i would have if they had it at the time. Totally worth the full price, but on sale is even better. The DLC is actually pretty good too. We are on that right now to try and get three stamps on each.
I liked Grimrock, but wanted a space themed dungeon crawler with less puzzles. This is exactly what i found in star crawlers. the environments are varied, the characters all play very differently. The gear is quite a micromanagement but fun. the story so far 4 hours into it is interesting and they are always keeping you on your toes with story choices and reputation changes. I'm enjoying it and can't wait to play some more of it.
Was expecting an old school racer and found a weird boring drifter racing game. Really after the first race, i was bored to death. most of the time you are by yourself and you just drift by other cars with no issues. the backgrounds are the same thing over and over. I guess i was expect pole position or top gear, but it just wasn't what I expect. Let my buddy play it too and he said the same thing. Maybe i didn't make it far enough into the game, but it was a letdown and i have no want to try it again anytime soon.
Tough as nails game. Came in thinking it was a run and gun. I was sorely mistaken. Got destroyed on the first ship. You definitely have to get better with the shield, managing your weapons, better aim, and slowly and methodically going through each ship or it will take you out very quickly. At first, i would have given it 2 out of 5 just because it wasn't what i expected, but that's my own doing and after coming back a few hours later and trying it again, i was able to get a couple more ships into it and really enjoying the gameplay and the challenge. Fun game.
