---------- Voiced protagonist with auto dialogue ------ Sh#te characters ------ Sh#te story ------ Mindbogglingly boring gameplay ------ Horrible writing ------ The art style is almost as childish and ugly as what we see in the outer worlds + Decent graphics i guess :/

Only buy it if you like the multiplayer and if you are ok with the 20 year old graphics and ui, and even then i would advice you to wait for a massive sale, i bought it when it was available for almost nothing, i think it was on a 85 - 90% sale, and for that price it's worth it imo, i would have gladly paid full price if they had actually enhanced it and added some good new content, or if they had even just given us the ability to make a 6 man party like we could in icewind dale 1 and 2, but they didn't :/
++++++++ A silent protagonist ++++ The setting is pretty good imo ++ The sidequests are decent imo ++ The ui is very intuitive imo ++++ You make your own party of 6 adventurers ++++ The gameplay is decent for such an old game imo ++++ There is a story mode ++++ The area loot button is amazing imo ++++ It works great on Linux ++++ The character creation is pretty good imo ++++ The inventory system is pretty good, and it makes us carefully consider what loot to keep and what to toss away ++++ We can do the dlc after the main quest if we want to, and i think that helps the structure of the game a lot ------ There are very few dialogue options in this game ------ The dialogue options are very specific and that limits roleplaying imo, i wish they had added some basic dialogue options like yes and no and maybe later. Those dialogue options are great because they allow us to decide what our characters mean when we choose one of those options ---- I don't think of this as an rpg, i think of this as an interactive book. to be fair though, most RPGs are just interactive books/movies imo, at least this one is fun -- I don't like that we have to "roll" for our attribute points, it's just a waste of time imo -- It's not 3rd edition or pathfinder :/ -- For some reason magic users can only use staves - slings or darts, and clerics can only use maces - clubs and flails :/ For me it was worth the money to experience the story and the world, but i don't consider this a true rpg. I consider this an interactive book with a decent story.
This game is the perfect meld between an amazing rts and an amazing movie, imo, and i really wish we could get more games like this, sadly that doesn't seem very likely :/ These days all we get is the worst possible blend of movies and games, games like mass effect andromeda and anthem :/
Like the title says, the content is good, i just wish the game wasn't so buggy and low res :/ I really wish we could get an enhanced edition of this game, beamdog did a good job with the other enhanced editions imo, hell, even just getting some bug fixes and the area loot button and support for 1080p - 1440p would be enough for me to throw about 30 - 40 usd at them, and a 4 star review, sadly the odds of that happening anytime soon are extremely low :/
Like the title says, the content is good, but the camera controls are so horrible that they actually make playing the game a chore :/ I recommend just watching a let's play of it instead, an enhanced edition of this game would be great imo, sadly the odds of that happening are very low :/
This is just an interactive movie pretending to be an rpg, and sadly, it would have been a much better experience if they had just made a pure interactive movie or book instead, the player has pretty much no control over geralt at all in this "rpg" of theirs, but for some reason they put rpg before action and fantasy in their own description of the game :/ I bought this game 100% for the soundtrack ( just like i did with the other 2 witcher games ) i see no other reason to buy these games personally, if you want the story you would be better off just watching a let's play or 3 instead imo, that way at least you don't have to suffer through the horrible combat :/
