Hard to review this as a game. In summary it is a short artistic surreal horror, gore game that is heavily influenced by HR Giger's art. So much so that the whole game is basically like being inside his paintings, then whatever gameplay elements are added to make it a game feel a bit like an afterthought. (it's not scary, just horror, as in twisted, weird, etc) The artistic design is definitely the high point if you like surrealism, hypersexual imagery, aliens and Giger's art. The story, or whatever you make out of it is kind of like surreal, uneasy, makes you feel bad kinda story and at the same time feels like a triumph of nature over machine or something like that. But there really isn't much of a story in the traditional sense. As for gameplay, this is the low point. It's a first person walking, getting lost and puzzle solving sim. Then it adds first person shooter into the mix. However, the action is very hit or miss, I'd say it's quite frustrating. The exploration is cool when it's clear where to go, but there are areas where I wanted to pull my hair out of frustration. The mechanics where you do anything in the game is also slow, repetitive and highly frustrating. I can't easily recommend it. I feel like it's a very obscure piece of fiction that I'm proud to put behind me, I don't regret playing it, but it took some willpower to go through the 4-5 hours campaign and I am sure a lot of people are not going to have the patience or the interest of just playing this kind of game. TLDR It's a frustrating game with an interesting surreal world that might intrigue you or you might hate it outright.
If your PC can handle it, it's a very good game, very immersive story, nice balance of RPG FPS combat with looting system akin to borderlands, in a huge open world, believable GTA like futuristic cyberpunk city and outskirts setting I feel the characters are very likable and deep, you can feel a connection and the action and story is rock solid. Also like the style a lot 5/5 for me, great graphics, great story, great music, presentation characters gameplay, the works Good job from my point of view
