Even today nice graphics, nice gameplay and brilliant story. IT a masterpiece like part one or even a little bit better. The gameplay is a little bit easier. Nearly 12h played, 4 crashes (i think memory leaks). It's ok.
Eigentlich ist Operencia ein grossartiges Spiel, das man richtiggehend suchten kann. Allerdings hat das Gameplay Macken. Welcher Teufel hat die Entwickler nur geritten, in ein wunderbares TBS Spiel saudumme Falltür Reaktionselemente einzubauen ? Ich kann es einfach nicht verstehen, was so ein Unfug soll. Für mich ist die Stelle im Schloss mit den vollkommen sinnlos auf und zuklappenden Falltüren nicht nur absurd konstruiert, sondern mittlerweile ein Plotstopper. Nach ca. 30 versuchen, einschliesslich Youtube Video habe ich es aufgegeben. Ich wollte ein TBS Spiel spielen und kein drittklassiges Geschicklichkeitsspielchen. Sehr schade, denn alles andere ist grossartig !
Dead Space 1 ist ein ungeschliffener Diamant. PAckend und stummungsvoll, nur die schlechte Steuerung stört. Man muss den VSync abschalten, um halbwegs vernünftig spielen zu können. Ein sehr empfehlenswertes Spiel. Hoffentlich kommen auch noch die beiden anderen Teile auf Gog !

I bought this game on steam and i bought the original 24 years before with printed manual in a box. As The Settlers, Dungeon Keeper, Pirates and other gems of game history it has a unique gameplay and some inferior clones. It is a must have for strategy players !

Red Faction 2 ist ein Paradebeispiel für das, was viele an Konsolenspielen hassen. Aus dem Vorgänger, der bekanntlich ein klassisches PC Spiel darstellt, wurde ein typischer Vertreter der XBox 360 Ära. Ein in jeder Hinsicht seichtes Spiel, mit schlechter Steuerung, simpelstem Spielprinzip und sogar "simpler" Grafik. Ein langweiliger und generischer Action Clone, dem die Macher das Red Faction Franchise aufgeklebt haben. Genauso gut hätte dieses in jeder Hinsicht belanglose Ding C&C, Halo oder was auch immer heissen können. Typische 360er Konsolenware von der "Beliebigkeitstange".
Hallo Beamdog, off course you can be as greedy as you want, but you ignore the fact that no one will buy it. All over the world one sale hunts the next and you try to sell old and aged games and even soundtracks at release price and higher. Ever heard from Dungeon Keeper 3 for mobiles ? Was it a Beamdog Concept ?
Als Gothic Fan und langjähriger Rollenspieler (seit Ultima 2) musst natürlich auch endlich mal der Witcher dran glauben und Teil 1 wurde auf meinen Rechner gezehrt. Nach etlichen Stunden grossartiger Unterhaltung lässt sich für mich folgendes Fazit ziehen: Schon der 1. Teil der reihe lässt ganz klar das talent und bisweilen genie des Studios erkennen und auch die Liebe zum Detail. Natürlich ist das Spiel technisch hoffnungslos veraltet und kämpft ständig mit der begrenzten Technik und dem begrenzten Budget. Nur ändert das nicht daran, daß das Spiel schlichtweg grossartig ist. Als wäre es der zweieigige Zwilling von Gothic ähnelt es diesem mit seiner Bodenständigkeit (wer im Dutzend Drachen töten möchte und 3 -4 Welten auf einmal zu retten gedenkt ist hier fehl am Platz) und ist dank der polnischen Fantasy Mittelalter Welt und den Hexern als Mischung aus Magier und Kämpfer doch wieder ganz anders. Dazu kommt die wunderbar erwachsene Geschichte ohne den üblichen Bombast, dafür aber mit cleveren Verwicklungen. Ich würde den Witcher Teil 1 jederzeit wieder kaufen. Er ist es wert !
Port Royale 1 & 2 are german games, developed by a german studio and published by a german publisher and even these games are english only ? Only on gog of course ! I told the gog customer service that it is very easy to change the language to other countries (for example germany) in games like europa universalis 2 and heart of iron 2 and some more title by editing one line of the ini file with an editor. It would take 5 minutes to wrtite a batch file to change the language for those who dont no what an editor is. ^^ Customer service answered "Fine, our technical team will check it". This is months ago, nothing happened. All older paradox games english only on gog. (allegedly) Gog is not really interested in localization. But take notice that i will not buy a formerly localized game which is republished as gog version, english only. And stop telling that you have no files or data. It attracts not your interest, thats all. There are even illegal gog copies localized from users ! There are free localization patches from publishers and community for some games and most important: Publisher who sold you a licence and even sell the same product localized in a protected version are unreachable or unable to give you a localization patch ? Good joke ! Good night !
