I went into this game expecting to be a streamer making moonshine. Sure, you do. The beginning of the game even has bunch of twitch-like audience commenting on what you are doing. I have never seen such things, so kudos. But this game has so much more than just moonshine brewing. You harvest various weird crops that somehow grow in this freezing winter. You vacuum snow to fix a weird machine that help the growing speed of your crops. They give you picks. Flamethrowers. Then you explore. Then realize that this game includes platforming, ala metroidvania style. In midst of this, this game tosses you eccentric but appealing black humor. If all of that sounds appealing to you, play. this. game.
Sure, you run a gas station. But you run an ENTIRE gas station. You are in charge of all of the gas station. Fueling. Selling items to hordes of people gathering at your mart, including alien- masked or T-Rex-masked party-goers. Fixing cars. Serving ice creams. Washing cars. Supplying Free-Loading Parties. You can hire your own workers who might do the work well.... With some probabilities of failure. If you own the DLCs, you multi-task even more. If you want to tune out your brain trying to manage everything, give this game a go.
Warning: Even though farming is in the name, you live a life also. You make booze to sell. You roll up cigarettes to sell or smoke with your potential friends. Sure, you farm, but there's much more than that in the game. You have quests. You have contracts. You make food that you feed yourself or other people who you want to be your friend. You even have some survival mechanism. You also are depressed during winter and are also trying to be a functional alcoholic who gain super power from drinking all the moonshine you made. If all of this sounds appealing, give this game a go.
