The Flame in the Flood

Fun, unique survival roguelike

This game is a sleek survival roguelike. You travel the river and explore various places. Although crafting is less complex and less than most survivals, it still is fun to craft various tools for different situations. Atmosphere and the feeling gotten from this game is unique and engaging. Highly recommended.

Sheltered

Great survival game, highly recommend

First of all, some of the reviews that say this is not updated, this is not true. It is as updated as the Steam version. Now that's cleared, let's get to the meat of it. This game is deep and well made. Very customizable. Any survival fanatics should have this game in their library. I highly, highly recommend this game to nervously chew at your nails, waiting for a successful expedition or rain to fall. If you are curious still, please do get it. It's a gem

Niffelheim

Great game if you like such games

Warning: if you hate grinding and crafting, this game isn't for you. If you hated Thea 2's crafting system, this game isn't for you. If you play games only to kill, this game isn't for you. There are tons of crafting here, and it does not just focus on combat. I understand it's a personal preference. Alright, are people still interested? Great! This game is like Terraria set in a dark, sad world without the jumping. It's mainly crafting, gathering, hunting, and occasional fighting to gather stuff. You will also fight, but that is not the centerpiece of the game. You make and fight to survive. Some people love that. If you're still interested or enjoy such things, give this a try. I am a sucker for such games and have spent several happy evenings on this game. It was all worth it, and the lore and gameplay are fabulous. My compliments to the devs. Highly recommended for certain kinds of gamers (who will be hooked on such mechanics).

Thea 2: The Shattering

After patches, it is a great game

So other reviews are negative.... But now that it has patches, it is an addictive game! I was not sure at first because it is quite different than Thea 1, but I was proven wrong! It is a fun game on its own. I recommend everyone to give it a go, and be patient with it. It is meant for a niche, and if you are that niche, congrats you found a great way to spend several afternoons.

The Gateway Trilogy

Cool trilogy, but somewhat weak ending

So I have been playing this series since it was free and up on flash gaming sites. I remember it fondly for I saw nothing like it. To my surprise, gog released it with the long awaited ending! Of course I bought it. The first two chapters are excellent as always and brings back memories. How is the ending? It has less creative and strong puzzles in between, but I enjoyed it. I would definitely say it is not everyone's cup of tea. So keep that in mind if you are considering purchasing the game. I would add this series has unique mood, graphics and settings that drew me in. It is not as epic as the other game by the same creator, The Dream Machine, but I like this short, sweet game.

True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 1

Good point and click HO horror game

So this game did something interesting. It tried to do point and click and horror and hidden object at the same time. And guess what? I am impressed! The graphics are great, the horror does work, and I love this game and bought the sequel! If you are one of those people curious about the combination between point and click, horror, and Hidden Object, please buy this game. It stands well on its own as a good adventure game. Would highly recommend!

True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 2

Pretty good horror adventure. Recommend!

Pretty good adventure game. If you didn't catch the drift, it is horror. Full of jumpscares, and creeping horror. It is a good extension of its predecessor, part 1. Longer with more puzzles than part 1. I wouldn't say it is a pure hidden object, more of a point and click adventure. It stands well on its own as a point and click adventure. I cannot say much about the plot without spoiling everything, but it also has a decent story. I would recommend this title to people who love adventure or horror or both.
