a bit slow and not enough options to cut through animations and so on
Maybe I'm too oldschool but who actually finds this stat/combat system fun? Are reviews by normal people just complete deleted from the site. I get that some poeple like this, and that is cool. I am not telling people what to like. I am just writing this review for what I think are normal people. In my opinion most people wont like this, AT ALL. It's just crazy weird and complicated. I see a lot of games going this route. It's like button mashing without mashing buttons. Who has that much time and energy to deveote to a mass of automated stat-crunching automations? I prefer the combat in something like the original goldboxes to this. Seriously. Even with all the clunk and silliness that had. I can't recommend this game to anyone because of how combat works. It's just not fun or interesting in anyway. It's not strategic, it's not challenging, it's not easy either. It's basically a little bit of studying to figure out the number crunch then spamming the right abilities. That's it.
What a joke LOL. I have played a lot of RTS and a lot of D&D CGs.....this game sucks. The RTS is a horrible and tedius, the character development is...there is none. story, customization? It all sucks. 100% linear too...which can be okay with a good story and some kind of interesting combat or SOMETHING....DId I mention the designs of the toons is completely horrible..what are we 3 years old here???? COMPLETE FAIL
Eye of the beholder.... Way more detail. Way more items. Way more stats. Way more classes/race etc. (more interesting too) EoB NOT generic... starting gear. WAY better magic options.... WAY more monsters... way more everything. Comparing this game to EoB is like comparing tic tac toe to chess. People all over the world don't meet in parks to play tic tac toe. This game has some good points, but mostly YOU LIKE THE GENRE. Within the genre this game is very very poor quality, depth, detail, gameplay, balance and so forth. If you like the game because you like the genre fine....Most fans of RPGs probably wont like this, if you are looking for an emersing RP experience like BG don't even bother, play BG again or a TC of BG or TOEE...and if you like this genre do not expect this to be 1/10th as good as EoB, its not. but if you like EoB that much, maybe buy this. I'm not happy I bought it, I feel ripped off because I was expecting something much more than what I got.
