I purchased this during the most recent GOG sale. I think it was $4 or so. This review is based on the initial 5 to 10 hours of gameplay. For that price, I get a hack-n-slash game with great graphics that is not buggy (so far). There is little story to this game - there are a lot of quests, I am unsure as to the priority of them during the game. It is not clear in any way. It has a very large world that one can explore for a long time with many quests and side quests to help you gain experience and loot. The NPC characters so far are pretty bland, which contributes to the lack of a story. I would probably compare this a bit to Titan Quest, but Titan Quest is much more linear and while its story is somewhat empty, one can at least follow the storyline. In comparison, I have absolutely no idea what the story of Sacred 2 is about. Overall, for the price I paid, I think it is a good game.
